How to have a Witchy November
If you are like me and still riding on the high of Samhain, feeling extra Witchy Inspired, and want to keep that feeling going, I have found some great ideas for your Witchiest November yet.
1. Keep up with the gratitude and write letters to your ancestors or ask them for guidance. The letter can then be burned (safely!) as an offering.
2. Gather up the last of the fresh herbs for the season and dry them for use all through the winter. Extra points if you are a garden girly.
3. Cleanse your home. Use smoke, sound, or spray to energetically cleanse your home. With sound cleansing, you do not need any special equipment, you can literally clap your hands at the corners of each room to dispel stagnant energy. I posted a recipe on my Instagram (@hearthcharmblog) on 11/9/25 for a cleansing spray. Whichever you choose, it is important to cleanse your space once in a while.
4. Set intentions for the Winter. Rest, spiritual growth, etc.
5. Tarot for reflection. During the winter months is a good time to look inward. Three cards, what you have learned, what you’re leaving behind, what is ahead.
6. Light a candle in remembrance of those who have passed on.
The above ideas came from www.softspirituality.com
7. Simmer Pot! Things like lemons or oranges to boost happiness, rosemary or mint for protection, cinnamon for protection and abundance, salt for protection, etc. You can make it with whatever herbs, fruits, etc. you have. Google the metaphysical properties of what you have lying around. It will make your house smell so nice (and witchy).
8. Do a walking meditation (with your eyes open, just being very present in the moment) and forage for things like leaves, acorns, rocks, etc. with which you can decorate your altar.
9. Celebrate the New Moon on 11/19/2025, which is actually a Micro New Moon, meaning it is at it’s farthest from the Earth, making it even darker than a regular New Moon.
10. Start a new hobby or read a witchy book. I’m currently reading, The Hearth Witch’s Compendium by Anna Franklin. It is a really well-rounded resource book. (Not sponsored).
11. Kitchen Witchery. Moving into winter is a great time to start making all the hearty comfort foods, stews, pies, cookies, casseroles… These are great to infuse your ingredients with intention.
12. If you are a tea drinker, make your own herbal blend. Mint, chamomile, rosemary, just be mindful that you are using herbs that can safely be ingested. If you aren’t sure, Google it.
I hope you enjoyed these ways to keep the Witchy feeling going. Which ones are you going to try?
